If I was to combine this method with the 'expandable nature' of the Hoberman Sphere, it would make it quick to assemble! The only issue is the entrance and exit, I need to test to see if I was to remove part of the dome structure would it still expand and compress in the same way? and would it still be structurally secure?
Other features: a clip on sign so that facilities can be sponsorsed to levy cost. This way better facilities can be provided to festival goers where cost is an budgeting issue for event planners.
- fabric is tied onto structure. (through zipties?)
But it's a design by Ming Tang - inspired by origami, in where temporary strutures are foldable into structualyl sound shapes! I would like to explore these shapes, or other shapes that can be applied to the washroom facilities!
Dual door unit - means no turning required!
As long as when you lock one door the other door locks, and when you unlock one door the other door unlocks as well! then it should work!
Concept Feature: roll out mat
A roll out mat that gives guides to where walls and toilets should be placed for easy assembly. Floor would have high contrast in colours to guide people with visual impairements.
