My name is Jasmine Yeung, I was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to Toronto when I was 4. I currently attend Carleton University in Ottawa for Industrial Design. I believe design should bring delight, but more fundamentally, it should meet real felt needs and offer sustainable solutions to real problems. As our society continues down the road of over-consumption, our earth – its’ natural systems and habitats – cannot survive. Thus as a designer, I believe it to be important that my designs is worth being manufactured, and done in a way that is conscious of our society and our environment.
